[bluetooth-dev] [patch] usb bluetooth driver



Hi,

Here's a patch against 2.4.0-test3-pre8 that adds support for USB
Bluetooth devices. It is using the prototype major:minor range for now,
until I get a real device number assigned to it.

It provides support for the Linux Bluetooth user-space stack, with the
exception that it does not allow for raw HCI commands or HCI events to
be sent to the device. A ioctl will need to be used to support this (or
some such thing). It also does not support the Voice extensions, but I
don't know of any USB Bluetooth devices that do right now.

If anyone has a USB Bluetooth device that this driver has problems with,
please let me know.

It should work for all currently shipping USB Bluetooth devices :)
