    I have reached to where you were just now. And
really, I'm wondering what I can do about it ?
However, on the client side, I have 10 successive ~~
   sent[LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <mru552> <asyncmop>        
     <magic0x86fc3a1> <pcomp><accomp>
then
   LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
   Connection terminated

   Have you experienced this ? Do you now know what
you can do after reaching this point ?
