0 SCO buffers seems unlikely.

This, and the timeouts that follow, can indicate a problem communicating with your hardware. Can you turn on
BT_DATAFLOW_DEBUG and post the actual byte traffic?

Also, you might want to provide the -e 0 option on the command line to both client and server. I think (and someone can
correct me) that modem emulation is only desirable when connection to a peer device on a Windows PC.
