RE: [bluetooth-dev] Inquiry - Name of Device?

To get the name : You just have to perform a remote_name_request which is a HCI Command.
To get the type of device : it is already contained in the inquiry_result event.
All can be done using HCI commands. Then it's up to you to build your inquiry procedure using this commands.

Hope this will help you.

Objet : [bluetooth-dev] Inquiry - Name of Device?

All,
I have noticed that other BT stacks report the Name
of devices in range when an inquiry is performed.
What mechanism can be used in the Axis stack to find
that information? I would like for my inquiries to
return a type of device and device name if possible...
does that involve the SDP? Any help on this would be
greatly appreciated.

-Thanks
