[bluetooth-dev] ppp on btd
I am using btduser through a null-modem connexion. I start it, connect it
with rf_conn, and then start ppp. I works well, and I have a ppp connexion
between the two PCs.
Now I want to do exactly the same thing, but with btd. So I inserted the
module, I started sdp_server (./sdp_server /etc/sdp.xml &), I started btd,
and connected the two PCs (rf_conn 11:22:33:44:55:66 1 0). I'm now able to
send data with rf_send x y 0.
Now, I wanted to start ppp on both sides. But when I start it, the next messages
appears on the client at high speed, and I can't do anything more in that terminal :
wait for a connection on line 0
bt_waitline : got a connection !
In the /var/log/messages, I have the next messages which are repeated until
I kill the btd :
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: Opening socket /tmp/ipa_server
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: open_socket /tmp/ipa_server failed
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: Could not find IP Assign server
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: build_pppdopt
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: close_device
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: Didn't get any remote IP
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: IP addresses used : 10.0.0.14:
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: start pppd...
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: Spawned pppd in the background
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: Starting ppp client on /dev/ttyBT0
May 25 09:51:45 danube btduser: ppp child died, now restart!
May 25 09:51:45 danube pppd: pppd 2.3.11 started by root, uid 0
May 25 09:51:45 danube pppd: Device 4 is locked by pid 1410
May 25 09:51:45 danube pppd: Exit.
I used the same file configurations as with btduser. It means, I put the
next things in /etc/ppp/options on the client :
# for client ---
and in the file /etc/ppp/options.ttyS0 and /etc/options/ttyBT0 :
And all works with btduser.
If someone has an idea why the problem happened, or if somone has some
advices, I would be very thankfull for any proposition.
