The ioctl() numbers change across the kernel versions.  I noticed that
when upgraded a kernel of 2.2 series to the 2.4 one.

Are you sure the /usr/include/linux symlink points to
/usr/src/linux/include/linux and you are running the kernel compiled in
/usr/src/linux?
