[bluetooth-dev] LAN Access Profile in Bluetooth Specification v1.1

Hi there,

The release of 1.0 of the specification does not define a profile or an
instance of the protocol stack that supports the use of Internet
protocols such as TCP/IP directly over Bluetooth links. As far as I
know, the only means of IP network access defined in version 1.0 of the
specification is through the use of PPP.

1. Is it possible to directly operate an IP protocol stack at this stage
(without using PPP) ?
2. Are there any other methods in doing so ?
3. What are the advantages in using PPP which supports IP in bluetooth ?

Any comment 's appreciated !

Thanks in advance.
