You took the binaries from the rpm and put them in your home dir right? Then there are probably things that the tools look for in /usr/local/cris that they cannot find because they are in your home dir instead. You could try to search for /usr/local/cris and replace it with your path, but I guess it would be easier to have your sysadmin install it in /usr/local/cris instead...
