RE: Parallel port problem on LPT1,2, strobe signal, 100lx developer board

Hi,

Have you connected Busy and nAck? No strobes will be sent
if busy is high and only one strobe will be sent if nAck
is high.

PS. The 2.4 parallel port driver is run in manual mode
which makes it quite slow. I know that at least a couple
of customers have made an ECP driver to get high
performance. Maybe someone could send a driver to this
list? Otherwise I may have a skeleton somewhere. DS.

Subject: Parallel port problem on LPT1,2, strobe signal, 100lx developer
board

hi all,

we are trying to use the LPT1 and the LPT1 device on the developer
board. We did a 'cat' to the device /dev/lp0 , and connected a logic
analyzer to the paralle port /dev/lp0 of the developer board.

Unfortunattely we don't get any strobe signal ...
