Re: error : read only file system ....(network.conf)

>ps i have modified the file ptablespec

How? Why?

[ptable]
# name size rw-options type image-file
rescue 0x010000 ro rescue rescue.img
flash1 0x1a0000 ro kernel flash1.img
flash2 0x050000 rw jffs flash2.img

By default the ptablespec that comes with devboard_lx_2_1_0 is quite
optimal. The first partition, rescue, must be 0x10000. By design the jffs
partition (3rd) must be at least 5 0x10000 blocks, i.e. 0x50000. If you have
a 2MB flash, kernel and cramfs (2nd) get what remains, i.e. 0x1a0000.

In other words, it's not possible to make jffs smaller and kernel+cramfs
larger. It is possible to do the opposite, if:

-the total size doesn't change (2MB)
-kernel and cramfs still fit their smaller partition
-the changes must be made in 0x10000 steps.

Axis guys: time to add something like this to the ptablespec comment lines?
Could you verify that the space remaining on flash1 can be calculated as

sizeof(flash1.img) - sizeof(ptable.img) - sizeof(vmlinuz) -
sizeof(cramfs.img) ?

Best regards,

Jarkko
