Solved -- Re: After upgrade, Linux 2.4.14 refuses Telnet connections?!

Sirs,

it seems we solved the problem.

Makefile checks which serial port you select on the file "kernelconfig",
but "make kernel" updates the file "kernelconfig.latest" (not the file
"kernelconfig").

Then MCM tries to open a console on ttyS2 (default AXIS configuration)
even if we selected ttyS1.
We changed the makefile to check "kernelconfig.latest" and now
everything seems to work fine.

....Or we are doing something wrong with kernelconfig files ?

@xxxxxxx.
         @( \
                 PORTNUM=`grep '^CONFIG_ETRAX_DEBUG_PORT.=y'
kernelconfig \ ## maybe: kernelconfig.latest ?
                          | cut -c 24` ; \
                 case $$PORTNUM in \
                         [0123]) \
                                 DEBUG_PORT=ttyS$$PORTNUM ; \
                                 ;; \
                         *) \
                                 DEBUG_PORT=null ; \
                                 ;; \
                 esac ; \
                 ln -sf $$DEBUG_PORT $(prefix)/dev/console && \
                         echo "Console is on /dev/$$DEBUG_PORT" ; \
         )
