RE: Memory corrupt?

Hi.
Try to test the right amount of dram memory, that is:
--memtest c0000000 c0800000
instead of
--memtest c0000000 c2000000

If you get a memory failure here there is most likely a hardware problem.

Try to rebuild your fimage from scratch and then run ./flashitall

Regards
/Magnus

Subject: Memory corrupt?

After using the Devboard LX for a full day with great results (after writng a working kernel driver for a shift register at par1 I almost started to love the board) it stopped working. The yellow LED is flashing very fast except if the board is in boot state.

Uploading a (previously working) image to the board takes about 40 seconds and shows the following via debug rs232:

---------------------------------
SET_REGISTER
0xB0000038
0x00001EF3
PACKET_INFO
0xC0004000
0x001E4000
Checksum of file is 0x00000000
JUMP
0xC0004000

---------------------------------

A different image had also checksum 0, so I tried a memory test:

etrax100boot --setreg b0000000 000095f8 --setreg b0000004 00000104 --setreg b000000c 1a200040 --setreg b0000008 00005611 --setreg b0000030 00001df0 --setreg b0000038 00001ef3 --bootfile DBG2 --memtest 0xc0000000 0xc2000000

Result:

---------------------------------
SET_REGISTER
0xB0000038
0x00001EF3
MEM_TEST
0xC0000000
0xC2000000

Factory default didn't change anything...

Can I do something or is it a hardware failure?

Thanks for any ideas
