Hi,

There are a lot of different mechanism and the best choice depends
on the application. If you really want to "share" data you may
choose e.g. to have a common file or to use shared memory. Shared 
memory is very efficient but provides no synchronization so it
is easy to get race conditions etc.

I recommend that you read a book such as "Advanced Programming
in the UNIX environment".
