You are correct to indicate the conflict in DMA.

Could you point me to where I can obtain a copy of the  Designer's Reference
manual? This should describe all hardware conflicts.

Secondly, do you know of an interrupt driven serial driver being available
for axis? This will allow the use of both serial1 and USB.
