JFFS vs. JFFS2

Hi,

I have some questions reagarding JFFS2 and Axis Etrax100LX/MCM:

1) What are the advantages/disadvantages of JFFS2 compared to JFFS?
Am I right if I think, that, in general, it is better to use JFFS2 than
JFFS (on Etrax100LX/MCM)?

2) How I can use JFFS2 on Etrax100LX/MCM:
  - enable JFFS in kernel config
  - maybe editing some makefile/configfile to create
    JFFS2 images instead of default JFFS images?
  - what else to do?


Any help would be very appreciated.
